Identity Brand + Design is committed to providing their clients with superior services that will support their growth, longevity, and success in business. In order to maximize the collaboration process, we require our clients to read and accept our code of standards that outlines the responsibilities of both parties. The code of standards, as well as a scope of work agreement, will be provided and explained during the in-person consultation.

CODE OF STANDARDS

The 30-Minute Consultation

To begin the working relationship, each potential client is entitled to a scheduled FREE 30-minute phone consultation with Identity Brand + Design (IDBD). Since we know how valuable and limited our clients’ time can be, we follow a set structure for our phone consult. The first 15 minutes is for the client to tell us about their business, describe their needs & wants, and to divulge any other information relevant to the potential collaboration. The next 10 minutes are for IDBD to familiarize the client with how they work, their background, client successes, and to review the client’s collaboration request. The last 5 minutes will be for questions and the client’s decision of moving forward with IDBD. If the client does decide to move forward, then IDBD will send them an online questionnaire that will need to be completed in order to move onto the next phase – the in-person 60-minute strategy session.

The 60-Minute Consultation/Strategy Session

Each client wishing to schedule a 60-minute consultation/strategy session must fill out the online questionnaire that IDBD sends to them. This questionnaire will help the client organize their thoughts and priorities relative to the project, as well as provide IDBD with the necessary information to create a project overview, timeline, and working agreement. A $250 non-refundable fee will be due for the 60-minute strategy session, and if the client wants to move forward with the project, the $250 fee will be deducted from the total cost of the project.

Service Standards

Since each client is unique with different needs, goals and project specifications, costs for brand, creative and marketing services can vastly differ with each job. We take pride in offering an exclusive approach with each client to ensure that your needs are met and expectations exceeded, all within your projected budget. Our pricing includes all research and design costs; printing and shipping charges will be quoted separately unless otherwise indicated. Website hosting and domain registration is the responsibility of the client. IDBD assumes NO liability and is not responsible for hosting issues, problems with servers, or maintaining websites. If a client is interested in having IDBD maintain their website on a monthly or quarterly basis, a website maintenance retainer agreement will be provided.

Project Payments

Once a client signs off on our code of standards and working agreement, the initial project deposit, equal to half of the total project cost (unless otherwise specified on the working agreement) will be due to proceed. Deposits are non-refundable. Final payment of the remaining balance will be due prior to project delivery (website upload, sending print pieces into production or formatting final branding/motion elements). All project invoicing will be sent by email via Paypal. Payments can be made via certified check (made payable to “Identity Brand + Design”) or credit card (via Paypal). Please note that if paying by check, work on your project will commence once payment has cleared. All invoices are due upon receipt. If payments are not received in accordance of terms, then IDBD reserves the right to charge late fees (10% of total project cost for each week late) and penalties (halting delivery of final project).

Project Scope

The project scope will be clearly outlined in the working agreement that the client signs off on. Changes to the scope of the project (additional services, changes in timeline, resources, deliverables that were agreed upon, etc.) are subject to additional costs and will require a change-order to implement into the working agreement.

Revisions, Proofreading, and Approvals

All working agreements include two (2) rounds of revisions. Major revisions beyond what is outlined will be subject to a change order and extra fees.

It is the client’s responsibility to proofread all final project content. IDBD will not be responsible for any errors in spelling, incorrect information, etc. Once you have given final project approval, you are assuming full responsibility and understand that any changes after the final approval process will be at your own expense.

Timelines and Shipping

After receipt of project approval final payment, please allow 2-4 weeks for final delivery, depending on the complexity of the job and what was agreed upon. Applicable taxes and shipping charges are included in all working agreements. IDBD will not be responsible for damages incurred during the shipping process. Rush orders are available at an additional charge. Please let us know if you have a quick deadline or special instructions.

Cancellation Policy and Client Responsibility

Either party may cancel the project upon furnishing written notice. If the project is canceled before final approval, a cancellation fee of 50% of your project total cost will be imposed in addition to the non-refundable deposit. Absolutely no refunds will be given for any project that has been through final approvals, is in production or has been delivered. If a client decides to place a project on hold for whatever reason, written notice must be furnished to IDBD as soon as possible with an ETA of when the project will resume. Once the client wishes to resume the project, full payment for the entire project will be due upfront and we will work the project back into the schedule as time permits. If a client disappears or becomes unresponsive for more than 4 weeks, the project will be canceled with no refunds.

Ownership/Intellectual Property

All work created will be unique and exclusive to each client. Upon completion, the client will own all rights to the finaldeliverables as outlined in the working agreement provided. IDBD reserves the right to showcase final client designs on their website and in printed collateral for promotional purposes. All websites will have a courtesy link to IDBD. All preliminary comps/roughs/design pieces and final art .pdf files will remain the intellectual property of IDBD. If the client wishes to purchase the final .pdf project files used for production, then a one-time, file-transfer and ownership fee will be assessed and billed and all responsibility for said files will be assumed by the client.
